So most of you know what has been going on these past few weeks.
On August 17th, my dad was admitted to Scarborough General Hospital, and was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer (stage 4 meaning the cancer has spread). I know many of you, our friends and family, were quite shocked when you heard the news... well imagine our reaction. We were devistated.
As the weeks went by, doctors did more scans, and tests. We waited for results. Now, four weeks later, everything has been finalized.
My dad has a tumor in his right lung, which has spread to three of his ribs, and also has spread to his brain. Scans show there is one main lesion in his brain, and a few smaller ones (smaller than 5x5mm). The plan right now, is to do radiation treatment for the brain, and chemo for the lung and ribs.
Radiation will consists of 5 sessions spanning 5 consecutive days (excluding wkends).
Chemo will consist of 6 sessions. Each session will take 4 weeks.
Now, if you know me, you will know that I personally don't like blogs. But we decided that this would be the easiest way for us to update our friends and family, without spamming their email inboxes.
We ask that you please pray for us. Pray for my Dad for strength (physically, and spiritually) and healing. Pray for strength for us as well as we all fighting this together as a family in Christ.
