Just a quick update here.
It's been 4 weeks since dad has started the new chemo drug. After the first week, we started seeing rashes on his face develop. This was is a common side effect of this drug. In the 2nd/3rd week, he completely stopped coughing, and he HASN'T COUGHED ONE BIT EVER SINCE!!!!!! Praise the Lord!! Since then he's been able to sleep much better at night, so he was also able to regain a bit more strength during the day. Since last week, we noticed that when he walks down stairs to get ready to goto the Chinese Dr. he wasn't gasping for air at the bottom of the stairs like he did before. Then this past Saturday, he didn't take the wheelchair out when he went to see the Chinese Dr. he just leaned on my mom for support. This is a huge step for him, since just 4 weeks ago, he was barely able to make it from his bed to his bedroom door!! This has given us much hope, to see that there IS indeed progress!!! Now, the next step is for him to regain a bit more of his appetite. This past week, he also went to see the oncologist. He just took a listen to his breathing and said there's no fluid, and everything else was ok thus far. My dad will be continuing on this medication until further notice. He will also go in for monthly checkups with the Oncologist.
Elijah and I are both back to school. We're trying to adjust our schedules as best we can so that we can come home earlier so mom can go in to the office in the afternoons. So far, i have one more to move around, and we should be set. Mom is doing alright, she's quite stressed, and tired at times. Thankfully, things have become a little bit more routine, and have stabilized, and hopefully, they will remain as such.
Please continue to pray for my dad, for strength, his appetite, healing, as well as my mom, Elijah and myself. There has been some really nasty colds/flu's going around lately, a lot of people are getting sick. For those of you in a hot climate, it's been -10 C, which is 15 F the past few weeks, before windchill, so it can get much colder (usually hits -20 C). So do pray for our health as we're stuck in classrooms with potentially very sick colleagues, and for my mom since she does work at a doctors office.
Thank you again, for your continued love, support, and prayers. God has been listening!!
Take care, God Bless,
