October Update

Hi everybody,

First off, thank you for your continued support and prayers! We've felt an abundance of love and care thru our friends and family. Thank you.

Thankfully, God has provided us with a new oncologist. One who is caring, and much more meticulous.

My dad finished radiation a few weeks back, and met up with the new doctor. She said that the current chemo meds seem to be wearing off, so she'll be starting my dad on different chemo meds in a few weeks.

Dad's still in some pain, but not so much from the radiation. He's feeling very weak physically, and he can no longer get out of bed anymore. He's also having some numbness in his hands, and some vision problems, we're not too sure what's causing this at the moment, we're still waiting for results of some scans he did last week. It is possible that the cancer has spread, and is causing those effects.

He's also lost a lot of weight, i think he's down to 96lbs the other day. He hasn't been eating too well, but it's been better the last week or so. Dad will be meeting with the Oncologist this coming week, to check out the results of the MRI he did last week. We'll know more after that.

We have a few requests:
- Dad's appetite,
- Pain will lessen
- strength so he can get up slowly and walk around more easily, this will give him more energy since he's just in bed all day now
- wisdom and a good heart from the new doctor (so far she's already demonstrated much more compassion towards us compared to the first doctor who didn't seem to care)
- pray for mom, she's on the verge of a cold right now, and she's pretty stressed out
- Pray for Elijah and myself. We're running around between home and school. School's quite busy (i just had 3 midterms in 3 days last week). and it's also cooling down now, so a lot of people are getting colds/coughs.

Thank you all so much.

Just wanted to also share a song that's really touched me a few weeks back right after the last blog post. See the youtube vid at the end.

God Bless,
