My dad was experiencing heavy breathing past 2 days, but refused to let us take him to the ER. A home nurse came today, and advised the same, but upon my dad's refusal, she called the oncologist.
The oncologist called back, and said to take him to the ER immediately. Our pastor drove my mom and dad (i was at school still) to the ER.
By the time they arrived, my dad was unresponsive and not breathing. They resuscitated him and he is currently depending on a machine to breathe.
He is in stable condition right now. Currently in the CCU (critical care unit). The doctors are trying to find what is causing this. They have done scans, and have not found any additional new clots or bleeding.
We are all in great shock, but living in God's grace every second.
This goes without saying, but i ask that you please pray for us.
Pray that my dad will fully stabilize, he's still fighting. We had 5-10 minutes with him where he was conscious and could respond to us. He gave us the thumbs up when our friend said he has to fight this.
